在备份场景中使用对象存储替换磁带库，搭建基于云架构的数据保护平台，从而实现：
■存储效率高；HCP 对象存储兼容当前市场上所有的主流备份软件，完美地支持备份软件的数据重删功能，节省了大量的存储空间。
■介质安全可靠；HCP 对象存储采用了分布式的架构，存储基于纠删码和多副本的方式，优于传统RAID 保护。HCP 还提供了多版本，WORM，保存周期等特性保证了备份数据在长期保存中的可靠性。
■设备自更新；对于需要长期保存的备份要求，HCP 对象存储提供了云存储的自服务功能，在存储硬件更新换代之后，备份数据会在后台自动迁移到新存储上，做到了前端无感知。
■非结构化数据免备份；除了传统结构化数据的备份保存在HCP 对象存储之外，对于非结构化的数据，比如文档，图片，视频等可以通过应用端S3 协议直接写入对象存储，需要时直接调取数据，无需恢复操作，激活了数据的价值。
